My journey
How I got here.
From a Computer Science foundation at UC Merced to hackathons, research, and now a Master’s at San José State, here’s the path so far.
BS Computer Science · UC Merced
Building the foundation
I began my academic journey at the University of California, Merced, where I studied Computer Science and built a strong foundation in core areas such as algorithms, data structures, and software engineering.
Throughout my coursework I worked on a variety of projects that helped me connect theory with practical application, including a capstone project developed in collaboration with E. & J. Gallo Winery. That experience gave me exposure to full-stack development, backend systems, and working in a team-oriented engineering environment.

Exploring beyond the classroom
Alongside my studies, I developed interests in web development, machine learning, and natural language processing through hackathons, independent exploration, and research work. These experiences helped me strengthen my skills in building user-focused applications and working with modern development tools.
I also gained strong experience in database design, particularly with SQL, where I built and structured data models for multiple applications.
